Transmeta has a rich history of innovation, primarily in semiconductor technologies and microprocessor design. Transmeta licenses semiconductor intellectual property (IP), such as LongRun and LongRun2, technologies that help improve yield distribution and reduce power consumption in semiconductor designs. In addition, Transmeta has developed a rich set of microprocessor technology from our two x86-compatible microprocessor families - Crusoe and Efficeon. While Transmeta no longer markets microprocessor products directly, our microprocessor intellectual property is available for license.
Transmeta's IP has already been licensed by some of the world's top semiconductor integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) including NEC, Fujitsu, Sony and Toshiba. Transmeta continues to target IDMs, but also actively markets to pure play foundries as well as fabless companies.
Transmeta also develops and licenses various supporting design blocks that can be used by customers to accelerate the adoption of LongRun2 into their designs to reduce risk and time to market.

LongRun2 IP Blocks |
LongRun2 Technologies is a suite of advanced power management, leakage control and process compensation technologies that can diminish the negative effects of increasing leakage power and process variations in new process geometries. Detailed information can be found here.

Transmeta is developing a portfolio of supporting intellectual property soft IP and hardware blocks that can be used by customers to more quickly integrate LongRun2 into their designs. more |
Microprocessor Technology |
| Though Transmeta no longer manufactures microprocessors, our microprocessor intellectual property is available for license to enable third parties to benefit from Transmeta innovations in processor design, translation, and energy efficiency. This includes Crusoe, Efficeon, and related sub-components of microprocessor IP. more |
