TechTV, in its fourth year at 2004 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas , announced the best new products of the year, awarding the Best of CES 2004: Mobile Computing award to OQO, maker of the OQO UPC.

OQO takes mobile computing to new dimensions (literally) with the UPC (ultra-personal computer). With a 1-GHz Transmeta Crusoe TM5800 processor and measuring only 4.9 inches wide, 3.4 inches tall, 0.9 inches deep and weighing 13 ounces, the OQO UPC brings Microsoft Windows XP into the palm of your hand.


The Transmeta Efficeon processor has been chosen as a finalist in the Mobile PC Processors category and Transmeta LongRun2 technology has been chosen as a finalist in the Technology Award category.

The analysts of the Microprocessor Report will announce the picks for 2003 during the In-Stat/MDR 5th Annual Analysts' Choice Awards dinner being held at the Il Fornaio at The Hyatt Sainte Claire in San Jose, California the night of Thursday, February 5, 2004. This event is one of the most prestigious celebrations of the companies and products that shaped the electronics industry in 2003 and these awards recognize excellence in technology innovation, design, and implementation.


Fujitsu PC Corporation’s LifeBook® P2000 notebook has won PC World’s 2002 World Class Award for “Best Ultralight Notebook.” The LifeBook P2000 is the world’s smallest, full-featured notebook computer.

Celebrating its twentieth year, the respected World Class Awards honor the best in computers, hardware, software and the Internet. To select the best of the best, PC World’s editors, testers and contributors examined the entire spectrum of products that have appeared in the magazine over the past year. Hundreds of products in over 60 categories were judged on performance, value, consistency and innovation.


Fujitsu PC Corporation’s LifeBook P Series named “Best Notebook” and overall “Best of Show” at the annual Best of COMDEX Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Senior editors from the IT industry’s leading publications (Key3Media and CIO, Computerworld, InfoWorld, Network World, and PC World) judged and honored the most innovative and noteworthy IT products introduced during COMDEX Fall 2001 in 17 categories plus “Best of Show”. The coveted “Best of Show” was awarded to Fujitsu PC Corporation for their product, the Fujitsu LifeBook P Series.

Transmeta Corporation recognized by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ENERGY STAR® program for the energy-efficient Crusoe microprocessor.

Crusoe microprocessors are inside three of the four notebooks recognized by CNET.

Crusoe-based Fujitsu FMV-Biblo Loox T wins the “Best Of Show” award for all products at TECHXNY 2001 in New York, New York. Two of three other finalists, the NEC Versa DayLite and the Casio Cassiopeia Fiva MPC-206VL also use Transmeta’s Crusoe microprocessor.

Transmeta’s Crusoe processor named “Innovation of the Year” at CeBIT 2001 in Hannover, Germany.

Transmeta’s Crusoe processor wins the “Innovations 2001 – Best of Show” award in the Computer Hardware & Software category. Innovations 2001 is the Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA) prestigious competition which honors product excellence in Design and Engineering.

Transmeta Crusoe processor named “Product of the Year” by ZDNet France’s PC Expert magazine.

Transmeta’s Crusoe processor earned the award for “Best Emerging Technology.”
